What is amblyopia?
Amblyopia (say this: "am-blee-oh-pee-ah") is an eye problem that causes loss of or poor vision in one or both of a child’s eyes. Amblyopia usually affects only one of the eyes, but sometimes it can affect both. Amblyopia is the most common cause of vision problems in children. Please see the video at the bottom of the page for a more descriptive definition.
Eye-Lids eye patches are:
- worn by adults for post eye surgery care
Clip style for glasses without nose pieces, the elastic simply loops over the nose bridge, and slips into the clip to hold. They fit all sizes of frames.
• Recommended by Optometrists, parents and their children. See what our many customers have told us.
• Used by Children's Vision Centers, and many Optometrist practises throughout North America.
• Effective at excluding vision from the top, bottom and sides of the patch. Curved design reduces peeking, and brushing of the eye-lashes.
Please see the online ordering page to view our fabric designs that are currently available! Let us know if we can create a specific character eye patch for you. Your child will LOVE them!!
The video below will explain how Amblyopia develops in children.
